Your training details stay close to you.

Axletic is designed around an on-device workout log. This policy explains what stays on your iPhone, the limited information sent to service providers, and the controls available to you.

Effective June 28, 2026

Who operates Axletic

Axletic is provided by Sjursen Software. This policy covers the Axletic iOS app and this website.

Information stored on your device

Axletic uses Apple’s SwiftData framework to store the information you enter locally on your device. This can include:

  • Workouts, exercises, sets, repetitions, weight, duration, distance, breaks, effort, and notes.
  • Workout creation and update dates used for history and insights.
  • Optional profile details such as name, gender, date of birth, height, weight, and profile photo.
  • App preferences, including your anonymous telemetry choice.

Sjursen Software does not receive the contents of your workout log or profile through an Axletic account or synchronization service. Axletic does not currently provide user accounts or cloud sync.

Permissions and Apple services

If you choose a profile photo, Apple’s photo picker gives Axletic access only to the item you select. If you start a break countdown, Axletic may ask for notification permission so it can alert you when the break ends. Live Activities can show an active break timer on supported devices.

These features use iOS system services. You can change notification and Live Activity permissions in iOS Settings and can remove a selected profile photo inside Axletic.

Anonymous app telemetry

Axletic sends limited interaction events to PostHog’s EU-hosted service to understand which features are used and where the app needs improvement. Events describe actions such as opening a screen, changing a tab, using search, saving an exercise, or starting a timer.

Axletic does not intentionally include your name, profile values, workout names, exercise names, set values, note text, measurements, or profile photo in these events. PostHog may process standard technical properties such as app version, operating-system version, device type, and an anonymous device identifier.

You can disable this telemetry from the profile screen in Axletic. Once disabled, Axletic stops sending new telemetry events from that device. Telemetry is kept only as long as reasonably needed to understand feature usage and maintain the app, after which it is deleted or aggregated.

Exercise images

The exercise catalog is bundled with Axletic. When an exercise image is shown, the image is requested from the jsDelivr content-delivery network and may be cached on your device. As with a normal internet request, jsDelivr can receive technical connection information such as your IP address, request time, and user-agent information. Workout and profile contents are not included in the image URL.

This website

This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, accounts, forms, or cookies set by Axletic. It serves the pages and static assets needed to explain the app, publish this policy, and provide support. Basic connection logs may be processed temporarily by the hosting provider for security and reliable delivery.

Deleting information and making choices

You can delete individual workouts inside Axletic, clear optional profile values and the profile photo, and disable telemetry from the profile screen. Uninstalling Axletic removes its locally stored app data from that device, subject to any device backups managed through your Apple settings.

If you contact Sjursen Software, the information in your message is used only to respond to the request and maintain a reasonable support record. You may also request deletion of identifiable support correspondence or ask about telemetry handling using the contact above.

Service providers and policy changes

Axletic currently relies on Apple for app distribution and system services, PostHog for product telemetry, jsDelivr for exercise images, and Vercel for this website. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Axletic does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

This policy may change when Axletic’s features or providers change. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated, and material changes will be reflected here before a corresponding app release when practical.
